Hi,
My name is jt Mayo from deep South Texas, USA. I am interested in desert plants, ie agaves, yuccas, dasylirions, etc. I am attaching a picture of one of my Dasylirion longissimum plants. Does anyone on this list share my interests?

It should be between 15 and 25 years old. Slow growers.

A 12" x12" caudex is approximately 15 years old. The one in the photo is about 16 x16 inches. When one figures the area of a circle the 4" increased diameter is a much, much bigger plant and consequently much older(+/- 25 years of age). I am inserting a photo of some "very old" Dasylirion plants that are huge.

I love desert plants a lot, the only problem is- no deserts around me! Laughing

hello mayo97. is it frost tender plant or tolerate some frost? i would like to have Dasylirion in my garden in Indjija (Serbia)

Did you allready have a try with a Dracaena draco????
If interested I'm on the Canaries untill end of may and could send you some seeds .
