There's movement happening in the world of Fortnite: Battle Royale. A mysterious countdown that has something to do with the big rocket in Snobby Shores started over the weekend and ends tomorrow, and some believe that Fortnite Items
gamers will get the opportunity to start the item themselves to rain chaos down on the map. We will need to wait a second to find everything in order, however: developer Epic Games only announced that servers will soon be going down for maintenance tomorrowJune 19 for articles upgrade v4.4. Downtime will begin at the habitual 4:00 a.m. Eastern and last for however long it continues for. This is merely a content update, and those do not usually take as long as complete updates: I would expect about an hour.
When it comes back, the Rocket is likely going to be the largest addition. The thing has been hanging out at a silo/supervillain lair just east of Snobby Shores because the start of Season 4, and individuals have been looking forward to start day ever since it came: I think Checkov said something about what happens once you stick a rocket into a supervillain's missile silo at the first action.
Besides the rocket business, we're also becoming Stink Bombs--damage over time weapons that look like they'll be handy for rendering an enemy fort abruptly uninhabitable. I'm looking forward to using these, mostly because they do not look like they'll take as much skill to deploy since recent developments such as the Bounce Pad or Shopping Cart. There is also a WW2 Pilot skin from the game files which includes a gas mask, therefore I will guess he is going to be making his appearance tomorrow night, as well.
Aside from that, it is difficult to say what we'll get Fortnite materials
. There are always big fixes and optimization, in addition to the chance of some balance tweaks. Content updates are usually just a bit lighter than complete updates, however, and therefore are more focused on just adding a few user-facing improvements such as stink bombs. Check back for more.
